Reliability should feel boring
The best maintenance is uneventful. I optimize for clear runbooks, tested restores, and alerts that tell staff what action to take rather than simply announcing that something is wrong.
Preserve the social world
A server backup is more than region files. Configuration, maps, permissions, and moderation context all contribute to continuity, so the archive pipeline treats them as one release artifact.
Measure what helps
Uptime matters, but so do restart duration, ticket response, and restore confidence. A small set of useful signals beats a dashboard full of noise.
